Heritage preservation in modern Stockholm

Stockholm is a city of layers — medieval cellars, 19th-century stone facades, functionalist courtyards. Our heritage work starts with a slow survey: we walk the building for a week before we draw a single line. Preservation is not freezing a building in time; it is choosing which of its stories to keep telling. On Storgatan we kept the staircase, the windows and the attic, and let everything else change.
